The longest underwater pipeline in the Mediterranean runs from the coast of Libya to the Italian island of Sicily. Inaugurated in 2004 by Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, the 323 miles (520 km) pipeline and its northward flow of gas might as well be a symbol of the relationship between the two countries.

A Japanese schoolgirl is suing her local government, after she says her school made her repeatedly dye her naturally brown hair black in keeping with the institute’s ban on hair coloring.
The 18-year-old has not attended her public high school in the city of Osaka, central Japan, since September last year due to rash and scalp pain and irritation caused by the black hair dye, Reuters and Japanese news site Kyodo report.

Police officers have finally rescued a fisherman who got stuck at 14 Falls Athi River for more than two days.
Many people are reportedly stuck under the rubbles of a collapsed three-storey building still under construction.
Naija News reports that the collapsed building is located on Akanbi Crescent in the Yaba area of Lagos State.
An eyewitness disclosed that the building under construction collapsed into a building beside it.
So far, a 16-year-old boy and another adult male have been pulled out of the rubble while there is an unconfirmed number still trapped underneath.
