The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has been troubled to visit the scene where a tree had fallen and rose again in Oyo town. According to reports, the tree which is popularly called Igi Odan trapped at least four people on Monday night. However, while residents were still mourning their beloved ones, the tree reportedly rose up before sunset the following morning.
Naija News learnt that the tree has been at the location for over 100 years now.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has revealed how he decided to ignore calls to run against ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in the 2003 presidential election. Abubakar made this known while speaking at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja on Thursday.
The former presidential candidate disclosed some governors approached him to stop the second term bid of Obasanjo by running against him, saying that he rejected their calls.
