The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ruled that Governor Godwin Obaseki was qualified to contest in the September 2020 governorship election. Naija News reports that Justice Ahmed Mohammed delivered the ruling on the alleged certificate forgery suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against Obaseki.
Justice Mohammed while delivering judgment said that the APC failed to prove the forgery allegation beyond reasonable doubt.
He held that the APC failed to by way of credible evidence, discharge the burden of proof placed on them by the law.
