"Our legal team put up a strong case at the Court of Appeal during the hearings. We expect a favourable ruling," said Paul Mwangi, a lawyer and former BBI co-secretary.The ruling in May annulled the process citing its unconstitutionality.
The aggrieved parties vowed to challenge the ruling, which they did in the appellate court.
Deputy President William Ruto, with his associates, took delight in the ruling. However, the Court of Appeal would provide him with political fodder should it maintain that the bill was unconstitutional.
The BBI proponents have the option to move to the Supreme Court should the court of appeal rule against it.

Those around ODM's Raila Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and KANU's Gideon Moi have also maintained they would not allow their leaders to step down to support the other.
Most of the foot-soldiers eye re-election and higher positions in the next year's polls, and thus they want to leverage on their kingpins' political clout.
For instance, Malala is eyeing the Kakamega governorship, analysts saying he is keen to ride on Mudavadi's popularity to win the county's top seat.

Nonetheless, Raila has an option to pick a running mate from Mt Kenya in a bid to win support from locals hailing from the vote-rich region.

Despite Nakuru being kilometres away from the capital, consumers are puzzled why the commodity would be cheap in the former Rift Valley capital instead of Nairobi.
For instance, in Nairobi, a litre of petrol costs KSh 127.14 while KSh 126.75.
In a normal formula, fuel is always believed to be expensive as one moves far from Mombasa as the cost of transportation tends to go higher.
5. Taifa Leo
The Swahili publication delved into the realignments taking shape in the Mt Kenya region as top contenders in the presidential race scramble for support from the region.

Last week, Martha Karua, Moses Kuria and Mwangi Kiunjuri came together to form a team that would take over the baton from Uhuru, whose term and political seniority is set to lapse next year.
As their colleagues take sides, the trio vowed to work together to keep the Mt Kenya superiority in national politics alive.
